DMI (Directional Movement)
Directional Movement Index (+DI / -DI) — equity trend.
What is DMI?
- +DI (solid): Positive directional indicator (0–100)
- -DI (dashed): Negative directional indicator (0–100)
Interpretation
- +DI > -DI: Bullish — buying pressure dominates
- -DI > +DI: Bearish — selling pressure dominates
- Wider gap between lines = stronger trend
Trading Signals
- Buy: +DI crosses above -DI (bullish crossover)
- Sell: -DI crosses above +DI (bearish crossover)
Price Overlay
- Close Price: Daily closing price (right Y-axis)
- +DI crossing above -DI while price rises = uptrend confirmation
- -DI crossing above +DI while price falls = downtrend confirmation
- Price overlay appears automatically for single-ticker view
