What is Vortex?

Vortex Indicator identifies trend direction by comparing positive (VI+) and negative (VI-) movement. Crossovers signal potential trend reversals.

Parameters (14)

• VI+ (solid green): Positive vortex movement
• VI- (dashed red): Negative vortex movement

Interpretation

• VI+ > VI-: Bullish trend
• VI- > VI+: Bearish trend
• Crossovers indicate reversals
• Data refreshes periodically — not real-time

Trading Signals

• Buy: VI+ crosses above VI-
• Sell: VI- crosses above VI+
• Use with volume for confirmation

Price Overlay

• Close Price: Daily closing price (right Y-axis)
• VI+ > VI- + rising price = bullish trend confirmed
• VI- > VI+ + falling price = bearish trend confirmed
• Vortex crossover without price confirmation = weak signal
