Relative Strength Index is a momentum oscillator that ranges from 0 to 100.

• Above 70 is often read as overbought.
• Below 30 is often read as oversold.

RSI measures the speed and size of recent moves — it says nothing about direction on its own. In a strong trend, RSI can stay stretched for a long time, so treat the thresholds as context, not triggers.
