TRIX (Triple Exponential Average)

What is TRIX?

Triple Exponential Average shows the percentage rate of change of a triple-smoothed EMA. It filters out insignificant price movements.

Parameters

• Period: 15 (standard)
• Smoothing: Triple EMA applied
• Zero line: Bullish above, bearish below

Interpretation

• Bullish: TRIX > 0 and rising
• Bearish: TRIX < 0 and falling
• Crossover: Zero line cross confirms trend

Trading Signals

• Buy: TRIX crosses above zero line
• Sell: TRIX crosses below zero line
• Very smooth - filters noise, lags more
