What is KVO?

The Klinger Volume Oscillator compares volume flowing through a security with its price movements. The Signal line is an EMA of KVO that provides crossover signals for trend confirmation.

Visual Encoding

  • Zero line: Neutral reference (solid)

Interpretation

  • Bullish: KVO above Signal — buying pressure
  • Bearish: KVO below Signal — selling pressure

Trading Signals

  • KVO crossing above its signal line = bullish volume thrust
  • KVO crossing below the signal = bearish volume thrust
