Ease of Movement (14).

What is Ease of Movement?

Ease of Movement (14) relates price change to volume, showing how easily price moves. Positive values mean price advances on low volume (easy upward movement), negative values mean price declines easily.

Parameters (14)

  • X-Axis: Time (candle intervals)
  • Y-Axis: EoM value (auto-scaled, small values)
  • Line: EoM(14) oscillator
  • Zero line: Neutral reference

Interpretation

  • Easy advance: EoM above zero — price moving up easily
  • Easy decline: EoM below zero — price moving down easily
  • Stalled: EoM near zero — price struggling to move
  • Data refreshes periodically — not real-time

Trading Signals

  • High EoM = price advancing easily on light volume (low resistance)
  • Negative EoM = downside progress easy, sellers in control
  • EoM near zero on heavy volume = absorption at a contested level

Price Overlay

  • Close Price: Daily closing price (right Y-axis)
  • EOM positive + price rising = easy upward movement
  • EOM negative + price falling = easy downward movement
  • EOM near zero + price trending = resistance to move
